As a professional animal trainer, Mary Kate Gallivan’s work has been seen in motion pictures, television, commercial, and print advertising campaigns. Her professional success reflects a life-long connection with animals that began when she was five years old competing as an equestrian in the hunter/jumper circuit. As an adult, Mary Kate built her portfolio resume as a professional animal trainer by first attending the College of Charleston and graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. During her time there she supported her interest in animal behavioral sciences through an internship at the South Carolina Aquarium where she continued to volunteer after her graduation. After a short tenure working as a veterinary technician in a fast-paced emergency clinic, Mary Kate decided to establish herself exclusively as an animal trainer. She moved to California in 2011 to attend Moorpark College’s Exotic Animal Training and Management Program where she also did post-graduate work as a volunteer. While in the program, she was introduced to AAA Animals’ founder, Nicole Handley, and joined the dog/canine training team immediately following her graduation in 2013. Since 2013, Mary Kate has been an integral part of AAA Animals’ training team. After residing in Los Angeles for 12 years, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and is now the head trainer for our east coast location’s team of movie animals.
