Joy had always wanted a dog, monkey, ferret, hamster, (you name it, she asked for it) as a child and was not allowed to have any of them. She brings a passion for animals built over 30 years of denial. Prior to finally having a pet in her life, Joy found herself receiving a BA in theater from Columbia College Chicago where she learned to collaborate with many talented people to create wonderful, thought-provoking, sometimes gritty, but always beautiful art. After a decade in theater, Joy discovered the world of animal training while on vacation in Bermuda. She dove headfirst into the Exotic Animal Training and Management program at Moorpark College where she met AAA Animal trainers shortly before graduation. Joy immediately recognized the opportunity to combine her love of art and animals! She was found cleaning our training facility the day after graduation in May 2013 and has been with us ever since. Joy has an unending desire to create art through communication with the animals who are her coworkers. She is also a perfectionist at heart and strives for it throughout any project she encounters. Combine the two and you will get highly skilled animals on your set with the utmost professionalism and a great sense of humor as a bonus!
